Why Splitkick

Cross-device like the big AI apps.
Stored on your own disk.

Claude and ChatGPT follow you from desktop to phone because your work lives on their servers. Splitkick gives you the same, with your work on your own disk.

Every device, no cloud account

Start on the Mac, answer an agent from your phone, continue on another machine. One host serves them all — directly, over Tailscale or your LAN.

~/…/Splitkick/

sessions/3f1c…/history.jsonl
~/splitkick/company-vault/q3-report/

Everything on your disk, until you delete it

Projects, sessions, chat history and artifacts are plain files you can read, back up and move. Archives are never deleted automatically unless you turn it on. Nothing is uploaded. No account, no telemetry.

Your agents, your regular plans

Ten agent CLIs in one window, on the subscriptions you already pay for. No API token required — Splitkick runs the CLI and never sees a password.

Multi-project, -worktree, -session

Every task gets its own git worktree and as many sessions as you like — all running in parallel. Merge what works, throw away the rest.

Git-backed, not code-only

Reports, research, data, docs and vaults get the same safety net as code. See the output — Markdown, PDFs, images, video — right next to the chat.

Works with your tools

Agents use your local CLIs: 1Password for secrets, GitHub, Forgejo or Gitea for code, Tailscale between your devices. Nothing to wait for.

Cross-device

Your Mac does the work.

  • WatchEvery session's status across all projects. Running, waiting, done.

Or run the same workspace headless on a box you own, so agents keep going when the laptop sleeps. Roadmap

How it works

Projects, worktrees and sessions — in three steps.

1

Add a project

Any folder with git: a codebase, an Obsidian vault, a data repo, a book. Group projects in folders and link them for shared context.

+ ~/vault · ~/data-pipeline · ~/app
2

Split

Each task gets its own worktree. Start sessions with any agent in Plan, Build or Yolo mode. They run side by side without stepping on each other.

      ├─ website-copy
      └─ fix-import
3

Kick

Approve plans, answer questions, review the diff and the output. Commit, open a PR, merge — or archive the worktree and nothing is lost.
